HEADED EAST!

Dear Family and Friends,

I just wanted to send you one last letter before I head out to New York.  I love you all so much!  I think about you everyday and miss you guys!  I think I am ready to go into the field.  I know it is going to be really, really hard but I have my testimony and my heart.  No one can take that away.  Not even a door slammed in my face.

I'm going to plant and harvest the seeds of faith and Heavenly Father will help them grow.  My job isn't to teach people what I know.  My purpose is to invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His atonement, repentance, baptism and confirmation and enduring to the end with the Holy Ghost as their companion to guide them.

I will keep you all in my prayers!

Love,
Sister Keller

IT'S P-DAY!!!

Hi everyone!!!

I've been excited to email all day!!  First thing I did today was go through the Temple!  It was amazing!! Then I get to do laundry and clean my room, and pack my bags!  I leave the MTC Tuesday at 2 in the morning... yay... I think we take off around 8 though at the airport.

I have been doing really well here.  It feels like I have been here a lot longer than 8 days!  My average day is I wake up, pray, get dressed, pray with my companion, go eat breakfast, pray for the food, go to class, have an opening prayer, learn and study for 3 hours, have a closing prayer, go eat lunch, pray for food, go back to class, have an opening prayer, learn and study and teach investigators for 3 more hours (2 more prayers) end class, go to gym (sometimes) I totally rock the volleyball court!!  Oh, we pray before that too.  Then go to dinner, bless the food, go back to class at around 6ish and be there until 9:30.  At that time my companion and I head to our rooms, study and pray, and get to sleep by 10:30.  If you haven't noticed, we pray a LOT here hahahaha.

It is going great!  I am improving each day.  My first day was the hardest,  but you are right mom, I do end up loving things that are hard at first!  I love it so far!  Thanks, Dad, for telling me everything you remember about your mission.  It has really helped me be prepared for what is to come.  The spirit is SO strong here and everybody is so happy all the time.  My investigators are doing great!  With one of them during our very first lesson, I had a lesson plan all laid out, and ended up not saying anything from it!  In doing so, they accepted my baptismal invitation!!! I LOVE teaching by the spirit!!! Sunday was great too. it was very relaxed.

Hannah, I am so proud of you for getting that job at Roaring Springs! I know you will do amazing!!! Send me some Dear Elders some time!! I love getting them, and I miss talking to you! they make my day 100000% better!!   I got your package the other day! I love the fish theme! gold fish were the best part! My package from the triplets had a bunch of yummy cookies and some very beautiful drawings! I loved it! Thank you!!!!! Jordy, I miss you too! I miss your hugs! Thanks for praying for me!  Kylee, I hope you are feeling better and I miss you tons!! Mom, I want you to know especially that I am doing really well here. the food is great, and my companion and I are friends now. It is really amazing how much I have had to get out of my comfort zone. I am the most talkative person in my district, and I love talking to investigators! One of my investigators was raised Buddhist, has no knowledge of God or Jesus Christ, and has never heard about LDS religion practices. Challenge Accepted!!! :)

I'm way excited to leave! I think I will do alright as long as I keep the spirit with me! I know it will be hard there, because its hard now. But it is so great at the same time!! I have been taking lots of pictures, and I might be sending them home before I leave Tuesday. I want you all to read Matthew 19:29 and Romans 8:18. I just feel like you all need to hear those two scriptures right now. I Testify that this church is true! I know that with all of my heart, and it is the only way to live with our Heavenly Father again. So always strive to be worthy of the companionship of the spirit, because I know that it will guide you through all things that you do.
Well I am running out of time!

I love you all SOOO much! keep praying for me :)

Week 1 in the MTC

Dear Family,

So my first day at the MTC was pretty crazy! Right after I got my name tag and bags settled, I went right to class.  That was where I met my companion.  Her name is Sister Jensen.  I met her over facebook before I came here so it was great to see a familiar face.  She is pretty much as tall as Jordyn! (very short missionary) haha

Later that day we got to speak with "investigators" and pretend to be missionaries in a real situation.  It was pretty cool.  Oh! Both me and my companion are both rookies, so the first day was really hard and overwhelming because neither one of us knew what we were doing.  It is already getting better though.  Apparently I showed a good impression because I have just been called to be a "Coordinating Sisters Trainer". So, I will be in charge of taking care of all of the rookie sisters from my district next week! My P-day will be on Thursday the 27th so look for my emails!

My testimony has grown so much over the past 24 hours! I have prayed more times in one day than I have in a week!  The power of prayer is incredible!  It has really helped me become more open and closer to my companion.  Starting tomorrow we will be teaching an investigator.  Just the 3 of us...never done that before.  So, I am praying for the spirit!!
Oh! and there are 6 of us going to Utica.  The other 2 companions are boys...Sorry, ELDERS!  I can't call them guys, or boys, or dudes. HaHaHa

But anyway, I am doing well here so far.  I cried myself to sleep the first night but said a prayer and totally felt better.  Everyone is so kind and loving to all of us.
I miss you all so much and I love you all SO much!!

Love,
Sister Keller
